A note about early access
The Mac and Windows installers are signed and notarised, so your operating system should not warn you when you open them. ReelUse updates itself: it checks for a new version on launch and every few hours after that, then offers to install it and restart. We’ll include installation guidance with your build.

A few practical things.
Do I need a separate account or plan?+
No. Sign in with your existing ReelUse account. Your plan, brand kit and library are shared with the web app.
Which video files can I use?+
MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM and M4V. Use the original recording where possible. ReelUse works from what is in your file; it cannot remove graphics already burned into the image.
Should I leave the app open?+
Yes. Keep the app open while the run is working. Connect a laptop to power for longer recordings, especially when rendering locally.
Is the desktop app offline?+
No. Audio transcription, moment selection and library sync need an internet connection. The full recording stays on your computer.
Where will I find my finished clips?+
They appear in your shared ReelUse library. Desktop downloads go into the ReelUse folder inside Downloads. Use Show in Finder or Show in folder to locate them.
Is there a Linux version?+
Not currently. You can use the web app with a supported video link instead.
