Simpler sign-in choices

You can still sign in with email, a password, or your connected sign-in account. The unused sign-in option is no longer offered.

The desktop app updates itself

ReelUse for Mac and Windows is now signed and notarised, so your computer should not warn you when you open it, and new versions install from inside the app. It checks on launch and every few hours.

Turn down the background noise

Choose Reduce background noise on the Audio chip before you start a talk. Speech is cleaned up, your music and outro are left alone, and the choice is remembered for next time.

Sign in with Google

Continue with Google now sits beside the email link and your password, on the same account. Sign in one way first and choose Google with the same address, and the two are linked.

No warning badge on a clip that froze

We no longer label a clip that holds a still frame from your recording. We process the source exactly as you give it, so check it plays cleanly before you submit it.

One story on payments

The plans page, the billing page and the guides now agree on who takes each payment: Polar for US dollars, Paystack for naira, with VAT included in naira prices and the transaction fee shown at the payment step.

Clearer privacy wording

The privacy policy now lists the kinds of page where measurement tools load, and describes the value sent to advertising platforms as pseudonymised rather than anonymous.

Every clip from your talk, delivered

We no longer hold back clips when your recording shows slides or a moment where the stream skipped a frame. You get your full set every time. If a clip includes a still picture, that came from your original recording, and the audio is unaffected.

Clearer expectations for high-resolution video

Running job cards explain when source footage above 1080p may take extra time to process. Finished clips remain available to preview while the rest are prepared.

More reliable retries and processing

Retried talks no longer trigger delay warnings based on an earlier attempt. Processing capacity adjusts reliably again, and recently ended replays are tried before being rejected as unavailable.

Place your logo and handle anywhere

Put your logo and your social handle exactly where you want them on the clip, and set the size of each, with simple sliders in Branding. A live preview shows where they will sit before you run a talk. Available with the Growth brand kit.

Named looks for your team

Pro teams can keep several named looks, each with its own captions, colour, logo, outro, frame and music. Build them on the Looks tab, give each member a default, and everyone's clips carry the right one. A member can still pick another for one talk.

Choose the look for one talk

Pick a caption style, font, colour grade, music and outro for one talk from the Look chip on the start box, with a live preview. Branding stays as it is, and the talk's card shows what it was made with.

A plainer caption font

Heros joins the caption fonts. It is neutral, no-nonsense lettering that stays out of the way of the words. Choose it under Font in Branding.

Caption previews match your settings

Caption placement in the Branding preview now matches the finished clip, including stacked styles such as Ladder.

See the cost before you upgrade

See the amount due before confirming a bigger plan. You can upgrade after payment or schedule the change for renewal. Downgrades and billing-frequency changes take effect at renewal.

Branding saves automatically

Change a colour, font or branding setting and it saves automatically. The page confirms when your changes are saved.

A personal overlay for each team member

Each team member can choose a default from the shared overlay library. The owner manages the library, while each person keeps the right look on their clips.

Sharper clips and steadier framing

ReelUse uses the best available video quality, up to 4K, and follows the speaker more reliably in wide shots and lower-resolution footage. Larger sources can take longer to process.

Work with recordings up to six hours

Long services and talks can now be processed up to six hours. Trim to the part you need to use fewer talks from your allowance.

Switch your outro on or off

Turn your outro off for new clips without deleting the file. Switch it back on whenever you need it.

File names you can recognise

Downloaded clips are named after their opening line, making them easier to find in a folder.

Share clips for review

Share a finished talk by link so someone can watch and download its clips without an account. Talks stay private until you share them, and you can disable the link at any time.

Report a problem from the app

Use Report a problem beside the chat to tell us what happened. Add the affected talk and a screenshot to help us investigate.

New styles include Rider, Typewriter, Ladder, Neon and Sticker, with controls suited to each look. Preview your choice in Branding on the web or in the Mac app.

Keep unused gift time

Start a paid plan during a gift and the unused gift time waits until that plan ends. It resumes automatically.

Buy gifts in naira

Gifts bought in Nigeria are priced in naira and include the local plan allowance. Pay by card; bank transfer and USSD are no longer offered.

Choose System, Light or Dark from your account menu. System follows the appearance setting on your computer.

Support inside the app

Ask about a run, clip or plan in the chat. Attach a screenshot or file, revisit earlier conversations and receive replies by email.

Export without captions

Choose None under Caption style to get clips without burned-in words. Available on the web and in the desktop app.

Clearer policy information

The Terms, Privacy and Refunds pages now include summaries and navigation to help you find the information you need. The refunds page explains eligibility and how to request a refund.

See what each run used

Usage now shows the talk allowance used by each run and identifies refunded runs. When your allowance runs out, you can see when it resets.

Watch clips as they finish

Open the first finished clips while the rest are still rendering. Progress shows how many clips are ready.

Find the sermon from video chapters

When a video has a recognisable sermon chapter, ReelUse can fill in the trim window for you. Review or adjust it before starting, on the web or in the desktop app.

Know how long your clips are stored

Clips are stored for 30 days on Free, 90 days on Starter, a year on Growth and while subscribed on Pro. We email you a week before expiry so you can download what you need.

One talk covers up to 60 minutes

The allowance unit changed from 90 to 60 minutes. A recording between 60 and 90 minutes now uses two talks. Trim to the section you need before starting.

Choose music for an individual clip

Change the music on a single clip without rerunning the whole talk. Available with the Growth brand kit.

More control over your account

Settings lets you choose whether to receive product updates and whether your content helps improve clip selection. You can also sign out all devices.

A post kit for every clip

Open Post kit from a clip’s menu for its title, post captions and references. Copy each item separately or take everything together.

Bring your team into one workspace

Pro includes 10 people including the owner, with separate sign-ins, a shared library, brand kit and talk allowance. Invite people from Settings; billing stays with the owner.

Gift a plan

Give someone 3, 6 or 12 months of Starter or Growth. Pay once, add a message and choose a delivery date. They redeem the gift without a card, and it does not renew.

Accounts in Nigeria have naira pricing and local talk allowances. Your pricing and billing pages show the currency and allowance that apply to you.
