What it is
Names, places and unusual words are where captions most often go wrong. Edit captions shows every word of the clip so you can type over a wrong word, remove one, or add one that was missed.
The captions stay in time with the speech, only that clip is made again, and it does not use a talk.
How to use it
- Open a talk from your Library.
- Press the ··· button on the clip and choose Edit captions.
- Type over a wrong word, press the × on a word to remove it, or press the + between two words to add one.
- Check the line under Captions will read.
- Press Save & re-render, then refresh the page after a minute or two.
Good to know
- If a name is wrong every week, add it once to Words we say in Branding instead. Words we say is part of the Growth plan.
- An older clip may take a couple of minutes longer while we fetch its original footage again.
- If the menu says Captions can't be re-rendered, the clip's source is gone. Running the talk again gives a fresh set and uses a talk.
Where to find it
Library, open a talk, then a clip's ··· menu.
