- Talk
- The unit you are billed in: one recording of up to 60 minutes. A longer recording uses more than one. See Plans.
- Run
- One pass over one talk, from submitting it to having clips. Runs appear in your library as In progress, Ready, or Didn't finish.
- Clip
- One finished vertical video, cut from the talk, captioned and branded, ready to post.
- Sermon window, or trim
- The part of a recording you ask us to work on. Drag the two handles under Trim to sermon to set where the talk starts and ends. Only that stretch is transcribed, and clips can only come from it. It is also what stops a two hour service costing three talks.
- Moments note
- A sentence describing a moment you want, such as the story about his grandmother. Matching clips are favoured and arrive labelled Matches your request. A Growth feature, and a nudge rather than a filter.
- Clip order
- Clips arrive strongest first, so the one at the top is the place to start. There is no score or label on a clip: a single number said very little on its own and invited comparisons between talks that were never meaningful. A clearer way of showing which clips are strongest is being worked on.
- Kind
- The shape of a moment: a story that turns, a challenge, a passage explained, a question answered. Useful for keeping a week of posts varied.
- Post kit
- The writing that comes with each clip: a title, a caption for longer platforms, a short one for Instagram and TikTok, an alternative angle, and any scripture heard in the clip.
- Brand kit
- Your logo, handle, outro, overlays, colour grade, pacing and music, applied to every new clip. A Growth feature.
- Overlay
- A full-frame transparent PNG laid over the whole clip, under the captions. Churches with several campuses keep one per campus and choose it per run.
- Colour grade
- A cinematic colour treatment applied to the picture, with an intensity slider. Five to choose from, or none.
- Pacing
- A very slight speed-up of the whole clip, which tightens the natural pauses of live preaching. Voices keep their normal pitch.
- Words we say
- Your list of names and terms that transcription tends to get wrong, applied to every new clip so you stop correcting the same word every week.
- Look
- A complete clip identity saved under one name: captions, colours, logo, handle, outro, overlay, colour grade and music. A Pro team keeps one per campus or per service, each member can set a default, and anyone can pick a different one for a single talk.
- Background noise
- The Audio chip on the start box. Choose Keep original to leave the recording alone, or Reduce background noise to clean up the speech while music and your outro are left untouched. It applies to that talk and is saved as your default for the next one.
- Watermark
- A small ReelUse mark on clips made on the Free plan. It is removed on every paid plan.
- Archive
- Moving a run out of your library without deleting anything. Reversible at any time, unlike Delete.
- Storage window, or retention
- How long finished clips are kept before being removed: 30 days on Free up to indefinitely on Pro. You are emailed a week before. Transcripts are always kept.
- Run again
- A fresh analysis of the same talk, used after changing branding or to rebuild clips that have expired. Uses the monthly allowance again: longer recordings can use more than one talk.
- Seat
- One of the 10 people on a Pro team, counting the owner, who share the library, brand kit and monthly allowance. Billing stays with the owner.
- Gift code
- A prepaid code in the form
REEL-XXXX-XXXX. Redeeming never asks for a card and nothing renews afterwards. - Made here, and Cloud
- In the desktop app, whether a clip was rendered on your own computer or handed to us. The result is identical either way.
