What counts as a talk
One talk is one recording of up to 60 minutes. Not one clip, and not one upload: the unit is the length of the material you asked us to analyse.
- A recording longer than 60 minutes uses more than one talk, one for each hour started.
- What counts is the trimmed window, not the source length, so trimming a two hour service to the 40 minute sermon costs one talk. See Choosing what to clip.
- The most any single recording can use is six, which is also the longest we can process in one go.
- A run that fails does not cost you a talk.
- Run again does cost one, because it redoes the whole job. Editing one clip's captions does not.

Talks a month are the figures for accounts billed in dollars. Accounts billed in naira have their own allowances, shown on the pricing page. Everything else about the plans is identical.
Yearly billing works out at two months free compared with paying monthly.
Your monthly allowance
The sidebar shows how many talks you have used, and the Usage page breaks it down: what is left, when it resets, how many talks and clips you have made all time, and your recent runs.
- On a paid plan the allowance resets on your billing date, not the first of the month.
- On Free it resets with the calendar month.
- Yearly subscribers still get a monthly allowance; it does not arrive as a year's worth up front.
- Unused talks do not roll over.
Currency and payment
Your currency is set from where you are. Accounts in Nigeria are billed in naira, everyone else in dollars.
Dollar payments are taken by Polar, our merchant of record, by card, which means tax is handled and your receipts are proper. Naira payments are taken by Paystack, also by card, so you do not need a dollar card. Naira prices include VAT, and Paystack adds its transaction fee at the payment step, where the total is shown before you confirm.
You cannot move an active subscription between currencies. To switch, cancel the current one and start the other after it ends. Your clips, talks and settings are untouched by that.
Changing plan
Both are on the Plan and billing page.
Upgrading
Takes effect immediately, with the difference prorated, so you are only charged for what is left of the period. Your larger allowance is available straight away.
Paying in naira, the upgrade is charged when you confirm it, and your larger allowance is available straight away.
Downgrading
Scheduled for the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep the plan you bought until then, and we email you the date it changes. Until it happens you can press Keep current plan to call it off.
Going down a plan never deletes anything. Brand kit settings above your new plan stop being applied and come back if you upgrade again.
Cancelling
Cancel subscription on the Plan and billing page. You stay on your paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free.
After that: your account, runs and transcripts remain. Clips fall under the Free storage window, so download anything you want to keep before the plan lapses. Deleting your account entirely is on the Account page and is a different, permanent thing.
Invoices and receipts
Plan and billing, then Manage, lists your charges with date, amount and status, and is where you update your payment card.
Receipts are emailed by the payment provider when a charge succeeds. There is no PDF download inside ReelUse today. If you need an invoice with specific details on it for your church's finance records, email support@reeluse.com and we will sort it out.
