Making clips

Start from a YouTube link

Paste a YouTube link to your talk and get captioned vertical clips back, with the first usually ready in 10 to 15 minutes.

What it is

You do not need the file to get started. Paste the link to a public or unlisted YouTube video, and ReelUse finds the strongest moments and turns them into clips that are already cut, framed, captioned and branded.

Before you start, a preview shows the video's title and picture so you can check it is the right one, and a note tells you how many of your monthly talks the run will use.

How to use it

  1. Open your Library and paste the link into the box at the top.
  2. Check the preview card and the note that says how many talks the run will use.
  3. If you like, use the chips under the link box, such as Choose the section or Audio.
  4. Tick I own this content or have the rights to process it.
  5. Press Make clips. You can close the tab, and the clips appear in your Library as they finish.

Good to know

  • The video has to be public or unlisted. Private, members-only and region-locked videos cannot be used, and a livestream has to have finished.
  • The whole recording has to be between 5 minutes and 6 hours long.
  • One talk covers up to 60 minutes of what you ask us to look at, so a longer recording uses more than one talk.

Where to find it
