Making clips

See what a talk costs before you start

Paste a link and see how many of your monthly talks the run will use, and how many you have left, before anything starts.

What it is

When you paste a YouTube link, a preview card shows the video's picture and title. Under it, a note says how many of your monthly talks this run will use and how many you have left this month. One talk covers up to 60 minutes, so a 95 minute recording uses two.

If the recording is longer than we can take, the note tells you before you start. If we cannot read the length, you can still make clips, and the run is counted from the real length once we fetch the video.

How to use it

  1. Paste a YouTube link in the box at the top of your library.
  2. Check the title and picture on the preview card. Press Change if it is the wrong video.
  3. Read the note: This run will use 1 of your monthly talks, followed by how many you have left.
  4. If it says we could not read the length, press Check again, or go ahead anyway.
  5. Tick I own this content or have the rights to process it.
  6. Press Make clips.

Good to know

  • If you choose only part of the video, the note counts that part, not the whole recording.
  • Recordings can be up to 6 hours long. That limit is for the whole recording, so choosing a shorter section does not get a longer video in.
  • The note turns to a warning when the run needs more talks than you have left.
