Mac menu bar and shortcuts

On a Mac, start a new talk, open your Library or Settings, and check for updates from the menu bar or with a shortcut.

What it is

On a Mac, the menu bar at the top of the screen has the app's main actions: Check for Updates…, Settings…, New Talk…, Library and ReelUse Help, plus the usual Edit, View and Window menus.

Keyboard shortcuts get you there faster: ⌘N starts a new talk, ⌘L opens your Library and ⌘, opens Settings.

How to use it

  1. Press ⌘N, or choose File, then New Talk…, to pick a recording for a new talk.
  2. Press ⌘L, or choose File, then Library, to go to your Library.
  3. Press ⌘, or choose ReelUse Desktop, then Settings…, to open Settings.
  4. Open the Help menu for ReelUse Help, What's New and Troubleshooting. These open in your browser.

Good to know

  • Windows has no menu bar in the app. Use the sidebar and Settings instead.
  • New Talk, Library and Settings work once you are signed in.
